"Not Me Monday" - the Holiday Edition

Still not sure what "Not Me Monday" hosted by McKmama is about?

Check it out:

* I am not a habitual last minute Holiday shopper and still have a couple of presents to buy with no idea about what to get the remaining people on my list!

* I certainly did not have 3 Starbucks frapps in 3 hours to keep me awake while writing Christmas cards and wrapping some presents the other night.

* I definitely did not freak out when the brakes on my car stopped working while I was out in the middle of nowhere and my cell phone was dying last week. That totally proves that I do not consider my cell a life-line! lol

*It has not been snowing/freezing rain for almost 2 days straight here and I was not kind of excited about it until I had to drive in it last night.

* I was really not completely content being snowbound in the house watching Lifetime/ Hallmark Christmas movies the other day.

*I did not just this week learn what "A partridge in a pear tree, two turtle doves, three french hens, four calling birds, six geese a laying, ect......" really meant. And I do not feel completely stupid for never really reading into or realizing what that carol meant!

* And I am most certainly not excited for Christmas, but especially Christmas Eve :)

Deck the halls with boughs of holly...

I had the day off yesterday so I took the opportunity to drive around and look at Christmas decorations and also pick up a few decorations at some local farms. Little did I know, the brakes on my car would stop working in the middle on no where! But other than that it was a nice relaxing day... lol

If you look closely you can see 3 of me (one in each ball)

For some reason I've always loved the look and ambiance of Christmas tree lots... especially when they're decorated with big, bright white light bulbs

Mini-Christnas trees with bright red bows adorning the tops of them

These wreaths stretched on for at least a mile of fencing

"Not Me Monday"

Check out "Not Me Monday" hosted by McKmama

Check it out:

Don't have a lot this week so I am keeping it short...

* I totally have not put off starting Christmas shopping and writing and sending out cards when there are less than 10 days left before Christmas!

*I certainly did not sleep for 14 hours last night! What's up with that??

* I most definitely did not have a blast at the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert the other night and totally freak when Stevn Tyler appeared on stage as a special guest!

*I was not pretty bummed that it rained almost all last week. Ugh!

Hope you all have a fantastic week!

Stop! Shelby-time...

(Anyone else feel like singing MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This" now? lol)

Now I have to go get ready to be in the hliday spirit to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in concert tonight!

Christmas time in NYC - Part 1

Sorry its taken me so long to post these photos from last weekend. I've had a lot on my plate lately and just now got a chance to finally resize and post.

Right outside of the southwest corner of Central Park

Near the Central Park Carousel

Before viewing please check This Link out before you consider going on a horse-drawn carriage ride in NYC. On a personal note, I've seen the building where these horses are kept, have seen them out in 90 degree weather pulling people around, surrounded by pollution and noise. That is no life for any animal!

The Dairy - betcha didn't think you'd see somethig like this in the middle of NYC, did ya?

Christmas time in NYC - Part 2

I feel so bad for these poor horses :(

I also feel bad for whomever had to hang all those wreaths! lol

Giant snowflake on 5th Ave

This is for all of those girls (and guys) who will appreciate this awesomeness as much as I did...

St. Thomas Church on 5th Ave

Never spotted this before - it must be new or I just wasn't paying attention before. Either way, its hilarious

Rockefeller Center

I would have gotten some photos of the tree but it was getting far too crowded for my liking and I had to get going to meet up with some friends for lunch. It was an incredibly overcast day so the lighting wasn't the best anyway. Maybe next time!

Its Shelby Saturday!

So, since I have been posting so many photos of my dog Shelby, the most adorable Jack Russle/Boston Terrier ever, I decided that it'd probably make more sense to just post all the photos I take of her each week (which is normally a lot since she does so many cute things lol) and post them all together on Saturdays. (whew! How was that for a run on sentence?)

Doesn't she look like Yoda from Star Wars in this photo? lol

She's staring down the treats I have for her in this photo

* Photos from my little excursion to NYC will be up tomorrow

Its Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

Hi guys,

NowPublic.com asked if they could use one of my photos of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting from a previous year for a news story about the lighting ceremony tonight. Please feel free to check it out by Clicking Here. After reading the story click on the link (which is under the thumbnail sized photos) to see more photos and mine is posted there and credited by "Cindy5678".

Speaking of Christmas trees... here are some photos of mine - which is finally decorated.

Music to my ears

I happened upon an old guitar (and violin) today that we have laying around the house. I haven't played either in years(thank you carpal tunnel!) so please excuse the dust lol

Thats the only pick I could find in the case. Its kinda f'ugly, I know

And for old times sake - a photo I took several years ago of my kick ass piano :)

And another photo I took several years ago of my violin
